Is Aniimo free to play?
Yes. Steam marks it Free To Play with In-App Purchases and the PlayStation Store calls it a free-to-play title launching September 16, 2026. Nothing is required to download or play.
Is Aniimo a gacha game?
You catch Aniimo in the open world; there is no character banner. The studio has said no Aniimo is locked behind a paywall, and Warframe was cited as the monetisation model. What exists is a monthly pass, premium Lumen Crystals and paid conveniences. Whether that is "gacha" is a definition argument, so this page lists each item with its source instead of a verdict.
Does Aniimo have an energy system?
Beta testers report yes. Running out did not stop exploring, catching or fighting, but it blocked opening Alpha and Omega battle chests and claiming Holo-Battle rewards until it refilled — and refills could be bought. The studio has not published launch energy values.
Is Aniimo pay to win?
Contested. One September 2026 Steam thread argues that paid energy refills plus PvP make it pay-to-progress; other beta players counter that PvP (Egg Heist) is a side mode and no creature is purchasable. We print both positions and the dates; launch data will settle it.
How much does the Aniimo monthly pass cost?
$4.99 on the App Store listing read on September 5, 2026. Console and PC prices for the pass had not been posted at that time.
