How to Catch Aniimo: Aniipods, Rates and What to Save

What the store page says

“Catch Aniimo using Aniipods, set traps and time your catch perfectly — enjoy the thrill and uncertainty of every moment! Unique Aniimo will appear according to the environment, weather, phenomena and time of day.” (Steam description, read September 5, 2026.)

Aniipod tiers seen in the beta

From a catching guide recorded in the Global Closed Beta (AniimoSync, August 26, 2026), reading item descriptions on screen:

ItemRarity (beta)Catch multiplier (beta text)Notes
AniipodRarenone listedThe standard throw; plentiful from exploration, quests and shops
Aniipod ProEpic1.5דFirst upgrade product of the Aniipod series”; about 800 credits in the beta shop
Aniipod MegaEpicNo condition; from battle pass, elite training, tutorials, exploration, quests
Aniipod Ultrahigher; the official pre-registration reward item (×2 at 15M)Save for rare targets
Sparkling CubeTied to Sparkling forms; official launch event reward; save it for a Prismana hatch (see below)
TumblerOfficial launch event reward; situational per the beta guide

The guide’s point: several Epic pods share a multiplier but differ in a condition, so pick “which Aniipod solves the problem I’m currently having” rather than the highest number.

Approach and stance

Beta guides describe approaching from behind for a better opening, then choosing a catch stance instead of fighting. Alpha Aniimo (one per region in the beta) and weather forms (Rainstorm, Thunderstorm) are catch targets with their own spawn conditions; the forms page lists the official form tags and the habitats page lists where the index places each Aniimo.

Free Prismana and the Sparkling trick

The official site grants one Prismana Aniimo when you reach Junior Wayfarer. Beta footage shows that when the Prismana egg hatches you are offered the chance to use a Sparkling Cube on it — so the creator advice is to keep the first Sparkling Cube for that moment rather than spend it on a wild catch (AniimoSync, August 30, 2026). Whether launch keeps that prompt is unconfirmed.

What changed for launch

The dev letter of September 3, 2026:

  • Irisalis (legendary): no more repeated throws. Collect legendary tokens through exploration and story, craft a personal Legendary Aniipod, and a one-time story encounter appears on the map; defeat Irisalis and throw the crafted pod. “This encounter only happens once, so make it count.” The design will be the template for future legendaries.
  • Prismana: flat base chance per nurturing, a Lucky Strike roll on ordinary catches that can add Prismatic Energy or trigger Prismana Flow, offering quality no longer affects wild search, and seasonal Prismana rules were reworked.
  • Umbral Aniimo: can appear from ecosystem surges or randomly, with a signature colour and guaranteed Perfect Potential.

Questions players ask

Where is the Aniipod Ultra from? Pre-registration (×2 at the 15M milestone) and Global Launch events, per the official site.

Do catch rates depend on level? The beta guide implies yes (a “new Aniimo or a higher level one” is when you upgrade the pod), but no official rate table exists.

Can you catch Alphas? They were sealable and catchable in the betas (Bond Pact FAQ lists Alpha Aniimo as eligible).
